| Visit to the Country |
| A Philadelphia resident took a day trip to see the country. On a the scenic back road in southern Lancaster County he spied the tiniest cabin he had ever seen. Intrigued, he went up and knocked on the door. "Anybody home?" he asked. "Yep," replied a kid from inside. "Is your father there?" asked the tourist. "Pa? Nope, he left before Ma come in," said the kid. "Well, is your mother there?" said the tourist "Ma? Nope, she left just before I got here," said the kid. "Well, do you ever get together as a family?" said the tourist. "Sure we do," said the kid through the door "but not here; this is the outhouse." |
