| Howdy. I'm just so proud to be here. Did I ever tell you about my Uncle Nay Bob and the trouble he had over time difference? Well you see, here in Nashville and Middle Tennessee we're in the Central Time Zone, and where he was in East Tennessee, they're in the Eastern Time Zone, which is one hour difference. They're an hour ahead of us in East Tennessee, but they say it like it's an hour later. You know what I mean, how you can call somebody over there at two o'clock and they tell you it's really three? Well, Uncle Nay Bob could never get on to the time difference, but that was okay with him because he himself only needed one time to go by. But one day he was in Knoxville trying to buy a plane ticket to come to Nashville and got himself in an aweful mess. At the ticket window he asked, "What time does the next plane leave for Nashville?" The clerk said, "Four o'clock." Then Uncle Nay Bob said, "And what time does it arrive in Nashville?" The clerk said, "Four o'clock." Uncle Nay Bob just turned and walked outside. The clerk went out and found him sitting on the bench. "Well, do you want a ticket on a plane or don't you?" he said. "I might," said Uncle, "but first I want to watch a couple take off." |
