| The Luck of a Farmer |
| An older farmer sat down next a college student at a church supper, and to make conversation he said, "Well, Amos, are you gonna take over the family farm one of these days?" "Awe, I don't know," said Amos, "I do like farming, but it's kinda dangerous work." "Dangerous?" said the farmer. "Yeah, there's always the danger of a bad accident." "Oh, not really." said the farmer. "The worst that ever happened to me was I got kicked by a mule, and once I got bit by a rattle snake." "Well, they sound like really bad accidents!" said the young man. "Nope, nope." said the farmer, "They meant it alright." |
