| A note from August to Veterans and Active Duty Personnel of the US Military |
As a veteran myself I want you to know that all US military personnel, whether active duty or
veteran, are special to me because of our closeness after having served together. We found
adulthood together, learned and did the same things together and formed lifelong friendships.
Maybe we haven't seen all the friends we made, but we remember them, and we find the same
values in soldiers and sailors we meet today, everywhere we meet them.
When I pick and sing for military people and veterans, it’s not only about the music we loved
back then. These events are about maintaining connections and friendships with people of the
same culture and values we had back then. It’s about America's people who will fight for what’s
right and the things we hold dear.
Music is much easier to share than the other things we did together, and this is the music that

This music is made in America. It brings us together, skillfully entertains, and uses modern
playing techniques to celebrate the great acoustical music of our past. If you or your
