| August visits churches of every Christian denomination to share music for worship or entertain a fellowship gathering or to support an evangelistic program. Often he creates an old-time setting with antique furniture and period costume that takes you back in time, to when the church was more the center of our nation and culture. He plays a number of acoustical instruments while singing 19th- and 20th-century Gospel music using contemporary Folk and Bluegrass styles. August's Gospel Music programs are typically a mixture of Old Time Gospel songs, hymns and Praise and Worship singing, drawn from older and newer songs enjoyed in churches all over. He also likes those opportunities where you can sing along. |

August gladly visits churches free of charge and asks you simply to
pray about your ability to support his work. Gifts of support are
welcome and necessary to enable the growing benefit performance
schedule, but money from paid performances and other sources
enables August to come free of charge if requested to do so.
Don't be afraid to call. Many congregations are small, but each is a
part of the family of God. August will gladly come to wherever called.
He currently serves as a part-time pastor, so Sunday mornings are
unavailable, but all other times are open if invitations are made far
enough ahead of time.
