If sometime you are sitting in a restaurant or a waiting room when you notice a great book, just lying there, waiting to be picked up, you might be sitting at a Bookcrossing. When you open the book, you might see a message that says something like this:
"Hello. What you have in your hands is an honest-to-goodness gift (really!), no strings attached. You may keep it forever, pass it on to a friend, or release it back 'into the wild' for someone else to find. It might seem a little odd to find a free gift lying around, but it's my way of touching the lives of others in a positive way.
