| For immediate release: The Museum on South Main is pleased to announce that, effective immediately, Alfa Cat (he prefers "Alf") has been promoted to the newly created position of Station Guard Cat. As Guard Cat, Alf will have responsibility for the security of all buildings and grounds, the safety of inhabitants plus the well-being of visitors and friends. He will carry out these duties for MSM and all its affiliates. He is also charged with instructing the staff in security, personal protection and how to get along with a cat. Alf brings an impressive résumé. For several years he was self-employed in the south end of Coudersport as a private investigator. For the past couple of years he has served as Neighborhood Chief Inspector. He spent the entire winter of 2000 selflessly protecting the outside deck at The Fatted Café. By spring 2001 he was invited inside TFC and later worked for the museum as Furniture Tester and for RadioWCPR as Incoming Package Inspector. He holds Attack Cat credentials and was recently certified as a Sniffer Cat. He volunteers as Greeter and Guide at the museum, where he is never afraid to get his paws dirty. We welcome Alf to our staff. Seeing him daily perform his duties is a welcome assurance in these troubled days. Alf believes in security that allows life lived to the fullest. We salute him and do our best to follow his great example. August Busch The Museum on South Main, Coudersport, Pa. September 11, 2001 |
