This is a universal favorite because
you make your own version each time.
Prepare the ground beef by package instructions. While the beef
cooks, prepare enough of each of the following for four people.
Lettuce, torn in pieces
Tomato, diced
Onion, diced
Corn, whole kernal with peppers mixed in, heated in pan
1 pound of ground beef, browned in a skillet
1 package of Old el Paso dry Taco mix
Then open the following items ready for use from the container.
Chips, either Taco or Tortilla
Green olives
Ripe olives
Shredded cheese, like a Mexican mix
Sour cream
Salsa, either medium or hot
Cheese salsa, medium or hot
Then each person builds their own salad beginning with a layer of
ground beef mix, then with layers of lettuce, tomato, onion and
corn, and then with toppings of crushed chips, olives, cheese, sour
cream and Salsa - as much of each item as you like so that you
end up with your favorite version of Taco salad every time.
