The Café version is best when it's kept this simple.
2 cups (dry) of wide egg noodles 1/2 pound of thick sirloin steak 1/2 yellow onion, diced large 1/2 to 1 cup (4.5-ounce jar) of sliced mushrooms 1 12-ounce jar of Heinz Home Style Beef Gravy or a cup-and-a-half of your own
Begin by putting the noodles on to boil. Cut the sirloin into bite-sized "tips." Heat a little olive oil in the Wok or skillet. Brown the beef tips on high heat stirring continuously. While the beef is cooking add the onion and mushroom and stir together. After the beef mixture is sufficiently browned, add the gravy and turn it down to low heat. Boil the noodles for ten minutes and drain them when they're ready. Then put them back in the boiling pot and add the beef and gravy mixture. Stir this so that it's evenly heated through. Serve alone or with a salad or vegetable. Serves two.
