Guard Cat on Duty
1 pound of fresh, lean ground beef,
   (ground round, 10% or less fat)
1 1/2 cups of frozen green peas
2 cups of frozen French fries
Start the French fry oil and put water in a saucepan on high to cook the
peas. While they are heating, prepare the meat as follows.

Wash and rinse your hands. Then, with wet hands, form fresh ground
beef into two 8-ounce patties. Season if desired.

Line a pizza pan or cookie sheet with Aluminum foil on which to broil
the meat patties. This makes a disposable broiler pan: simply discard the
foil afterward, and you have no broiler to clean. On the top oven rack,
broil the meat, turning it onto a clean part of the foil, until it's done the
way you like it.

Cook the
French fries and green peas so that they are ready to eat at
approximately the same time as the meat. Serve immediately. Serves two.
