1 pound of Confectioner's sugar
1/2 cup of softened butter
2 teaspoons of Vanilla
3 tablespoons of whole milk
Food coloring, optional
In a large bowl beat together sugar, butter, vanilla and milk until
smooth. Add more milk to bring frosting to spreading consistency.
Add a few drops of food coloring if desired.
For Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
Melt 2 1-oz. squares of unsweetened chocolate until just melted, and
stir into the frosting mixture. Makes enough for a two-layer cake or a
9 x 13-inch pan cake or 2 dozen cupcakes.
